Hi all,
I am setting up new servers and one of the clusters will be SQL server 2008 r2. I love server 2008 r2 core installation and I was hoping that I can install SQL server 2008 r2 on a core OS, but I wanted to make sure that it is supported, because it will be used for production and for a mission critical applications.
I found few
articles and you tube videos related to this setup such as:
http://nullsession.com/2009/06/sql-server-2008-on-server-core-2008-r2/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3o30Ee8YVM
according to te first blog it is not supported, but since the article was posted in the 2009, I thought maybe the support for this setup changed but I am not sure, so I am here seeking the experts’ advice before I do something crazy.
What are the experts thought on this?
Thanks in advance
