Hello Team,
I get the following error while installing SQL server 2014 on Windows 2012R2.
Feature: Database Engine ServicesI've uninstalled SQL and tried to reinstall as mentioned in the below article but still get the same error.
Hi all,
I have an AG with SQL Server 2016. After a failover my SSISDB synchronizes perfectly and I am able to deploy my IS Package. However, after the deploy the DB stops synchronizing and I have to run "ALTER DATABASE SSISDB SET HADR RESUME" for it to resync.
Has anyone experience something like this?

I am installing the following five SQL Server 2016 features;
Client Tools Connectivity
Client Tools Backwards Compatibility
Client Tools SDK
Integration Services
SQL client connectivity SDK
After installing the above five features I am generating SqlDiscoveryReportto verify the installed features but on the report only the four following features are displayed;
Client Tools Connectivity
Client Tools Backwards Compatibility
Client Tools SDK
Integration Services
Not finding the SQL client connectivity SDK feature in the report whereas if I run the setup again and try to select the feature it is already installed.
Is this the normal behavior or any other way to get all the feature list in the report?
I've installed SQL Server on Linux, on RHEL 7.8. Documentation says this is a supported version. Running "mssql-conf setup" after installation fails like this:
There is nothing in the error log. From what I can tell, installing that glibc version isn't an option.
What's the solution to this?

Really need some insight to a solution.

Hi, in below link Olaf has confirmed that if I have server license then i can have multiple sql server installations on the same server (means multiple sql engines). Suppose with 1 server license, on a vm/server, I install 2 sql servers (instance A & B) and users are user1, user2 and user3, common for both instances A & B. So do i need 6 CAL licenses or just 3 CAL licenses?
thanks in Advance.

Hello,

I recently took a position as an Operations Manager of a database team focused on SQL Server. We've got a large SQL presence (couple thousand servers) and I'm looking at setting standards for version usage and providing guidance to the business on planning for upgrades. We've just kicked off a project begin migration away from SQL 2012. That's better than starting next year but what are others doing in regards to lifecycle management? Do you cutoff new installs for a version before mainstream support ends, on the day it ends or sometime during extended support? When do you drop internal support for SQL versions and/or start your migration/upgrades to newer versions?
Looking forward to comments!
